From the Fréderic Mistral car park in Pernes-les-Fontaines, take this 21-kilometer bike route suitable for families to cross the Comtat Venaissin and the beautiful cities of Carpentras and Monteux in the heart of the Mont Ventoux Regional Natural Park. This loop is a magnificent cycling route through Vaucluse offering panoramic views of the vineyards, the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux. Take the opportunity to taste the delights of the region along the way thanks to the many local producers who are located along the route and at the various markets that take place in the surrounding towns several times a week.
Thanks to this bike circuit, you will also have the opportunity to visit and discover the beautiful cities of Pernes-les-Fontaines, Monteux and Carpentras.
Pernes-les-Fontaines is known for its 41 fountains but also for its artisan workshops, ancient rampart gates and numerous monuments such as the Ferrande Tower. A pleasant city with beautiful colorful streets that is active all year round thanks to a multitude of events.
Monteux is a city full of history with the Clementine Tower, the remains of an ancient castle, its rampart doors but also the Traversée des Arts which brings together more than fifteen artists and artisans in the heart of the city. A few kilometers away from the course is also Lac de Monteux, a bathing place offering many activities.
Carpentras, capital of Comtat Venaissin, is also rich in history and heritage with many old mansions, the oldest active synagogue in France and many others. You will also find many shops and artisan workshops in the heart of the city.
