What is the Destination of Excellence Label?
The new Destination of Excellence label aims to enhance quality across the entire tourism offering: accommodations, restaurants, attractions and leisure sites, tourist information points (including tourist offices), and transport. In addition to focusing on the quality of welcome and services, which is central to the sector, this label places particular emphasis on eco-responsibility.
It has replaced the “Qualité Tourisme” mark since May 2024.

The Porte du Ventoux Tourism Team is committed to:
- Providing a welcome area and an information space that are easily accessible.
- Facilitating your administrative and tourism-related procedures.
- Offering seating for visitors.
- Providing free information about local tourism offerings.
- Displaying and sharing opening periods in at least one foreign language.
- Keeping the tourist office open at least 120 days per year, including Saturdays and Sundays, during the tourist season or special events.
- Responding to emails and letters year-round.
- Ensuring a permanent welcome service staffed by personnel speaking at least two foreign languages.
- Providing tourist maps, plans, and guides in paper format.
- Giving access to a bilingual website.
- Displaying emergency phone numbers outside the office.
- Handling complaints and measuring visitor satisfaction.
- Ensuring the reliability and up-to-dateness of information about local tourism.
- Regularly updating tourism data for its geographic area of activity.
Information on paper, translated into at least one foreign language, will include:
- Classified tourist accommodations, including at least the establishment’s name, postal address, email, website, phone numbers, and classification level.
- Monuments and cultural, natural, or leisure sites, including prices, opening periods and hours, website, and postal and phone contacts.
- Events and activities.
- Emergency phone numbers.
- Annual updates of all tourism information.
