This bridge, dear to the residents who came to dance there until the Second World War, was built in 1845 and bears the name of a family of large local landowners. You can still see what was one of their factories, in Entraigues, very close to the Avignon-Carpentras railway and the Sorgue d'Entraigues. In 1877, the Naquets made significant profits from the cultivation of mint and owned a distillery in Monteux.

The very young commune of Althen had to partially finance its reconstruction even though they weren't in favour of it. Thus, in response to a claim for indemnity made by the contractor for the reconstruction on September 30, 1861, the municipal council of Althen, at first, simply asked for "more information on the work carried out"

This bridge, whose two arches rest on a rounded central pier similar to the one of Trévouse bridge, mentions both robustness through its construction, and harmony through the softness of its forms.

The very young municipality of Althen had to partially finance its reconstruction even though they weren't up for it: thus, in response to a claim for compensation filed by the builder for its reconstruction on September 30, 1861, the Althen municipal council was content, at first, with asking for more information on the work done'.

The bridge is now a popular fishing and walking area...
