Étienne Régnier, a fountain maker from Aubignan, discovered a source of living water in the Beaumettes district in 1743. This water will supply the first public fountains in the village to replace the unhealthy wells.
The Minimes Fountain was built around 1750, providing water to an entire neighborhood.
