The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption
Discover the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Althen-des-Paluds, which has one of the highest bell towers in Vaucluse, located 35 meters high.

At the beginning of 1857, a first project called for the destruction of the existing chapel (current Town Hall) but, after much debate, the Fabrique Council (council responsible for the material management of the parish) finally decided to keep it and build a larger church.
The work was completed in 1862.
In 1870, the new church was donated to the town.
