SEPTEMBER | The market for honey and flavors
The city of Pernes-les-Fontaines is classified as “APicity 3 bees, exemplary approach”. This highest national distinction rewards the establishment and the pursuit of a coherent municipal strategy in favor of pollinators and biodiversity as well as a better quality of life for citizens.
The appointment has been held for nearly 10 years, for a day dedicated to the discovery of beekeeping and bee and local products. This market, generally at the end of September, is renowned for its quality and organized by the city and the Syndicat des Apiculteurs du Vaucluse. It is an opportunity to meet many beekeepers in our region, share their daily lives, discover the particularities of each honey and let yourself be charmed by their many virtues and subtle flavors. There are also local flavors such as olive oil, wine, etc.; as well as numerous activities for adults and children!
OCTOBER | The salon for sanitarians and crechists
At the beginning of October, come and discover the tradition of the Santoniers of Provence! For a little over 15 years, the many creators have been exhibiting and offering magnificent decorations and figures in clay that represent ancient trades and the Nativity. You will be spoilt for choice in order to start or complete your traditional nursery: raw or painted figurines, decorations and accessories.
It is also usually an opportunity to discover the very beautiful and traditional nursery of Marius, a young enthusiast who has been doing it since he was a child, and a native of the Valayans hamlet! The theme changes every year to the delight of visitors.
OCTOBER | The Minerals and Fossils Exhibition
In mid-October, many professional and amateur exhibitors come to present their minerals, fossils, gems and natural stone jewelry for a weekend. The Paleontological Association of Pernes-les-Fontaines has been organizing this event for 15 years now.
OCTOBER | Les Rencontres des Métiers d'Art
A magnificent event, to feast your eyes on and discover the quality and diversity of French crafts. It is the most important regional event promoting arts and crafts... Admire the unique pieces or in limited series, created by rigorously selected creative artisans; holders of exceptional know-how and guarantors of unparalleled production quality.
Three days of exhibition at the end of October, more than 50 artisans to meet, 15 branches of trades represented (wood, metal, glass, earth...) in the emblematic city of Pernes-les-Fontaines, labeled Ville et Métiers d'Art since 1999... What more could you ask for?

NOVEMBER | The antique and second-hand book fair
The third Sunday in November is the meeting place for book lovers who want to find books that have a history and a past! The Livres Ensemble association has shared its passion for old books for more than 20 years. Around twenty exhibitors, booksellers and professional booksellers are usually present at this show.
In the context of preparing for the holidays, visitors can find the rarest and most valuable books. Small budgets are not forgotten, everyone finds the book that suits their passion.
And many other activities: exhibitions, concerts, shows, garage sales, etc!
