Explore Comtat Venaissin by bike in complete peace of mind
The Via Venaissia is a bicycle road crossing the Comtat Venaissin and which connects the Via Rhôna to the Mediterranean by bike, passing through Orange, Carpentras, Velleron and Pernes-les-Fontaines for about 40 km.
It was created on the route of an old railway dating from 1894, punctuated by old stations, some of which have been rehabilitated into restaurants. This greenway allows you to safely cross a good part of Vaucluse and to enjoy the typical landscapes of Provence, in the heart of vineyards and orchards.
The route is accessible via 3 TER stations (Orange - Carpentras and L'Isle sur la Sorgue) and via several bus lines such as line 913 connecting Cavaillon to Carpentras via Pernes-les-Fontaines.
Several local loops marked on shared routes escape from the greenway, in order to guide you to discover the surrounding villages.

A preserved natural environment
The Via Venaissia is therefore much more than a simple cycling route: it is a real immersion in the sweet life of Provence thanks to this route which offers a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for recharging your batteries. The landscapes change with the seasons, revealing in turn the colors of the blossoming orchards or the orange hues of autumn. Cyclists will also be able to appreciate the small water points and the rest areas set up along the route, for a refreshing break or an impromptu picnic.
A bike ride that combines simplicity, nature and authenticity!
