The Ballad of the 14 Fountains

The water for most of the fountains in Monteux comes from the springs in the Saint-Raphaël district and arrives in town through a network of pipes that are centuries old.
The ancient center has no less than fourteen fountains and many fountains have been removed over time.
For several years, the City of Monteux has undertaken the rehabilitation of this network and is replacing the pipes during all road works.
Thanks to this work, several fountains now flow more abundantly.
At the same time, as part of urban development, the Municipality has created new fountains: Fontaine des Droits de l'Homme, Fontaine de la Place du Marché, Fontaine des Coeurs, etc.
