The Footbridge of the Way of the Popes in Sorgues

Thanks to the footbridge of the Voie des Papes, overlooking the Ouvèze, inaugurated in February 2023, you can now reach the island of Oiselay from the city center of Sorgues through the municipal park.
The footbridge is directly connected to the new greenway called the Voie des Papes, exclusively reserved for non-motorized mobility, which crosses natural and agricultural areas for 4.5 km of walking and family fun!
The city center of Sorgues is therefore connected to the Via Rhôna which is located on the island of Oiselay, not far from the Armenian Bridge, which should undergo a historic restoration.
Via the Sauveterre footbridge, which connects Île de l'Oiselay to Île de la Motte and which was inaugurated on October 4, 2023, you can also reach Île de la Barthelasse, which is connected to Avignon.
From the footbridge of the Voie des Papes it is therefore possible to reach Avignon.
