An exceptional natural space
Located between the Rhône and the dead arm of the Armenians in Sorgues, the Oiselay Island, neighboring the Barthelasse Island in Avignon, is classified as a Natura 2000 site.
This island of greenery contains exceptional fauna and flora, thus forming a fragile ecosystem. During your walk, you will find numerous information and awareness panels about the richness of the surrounding nature.
Two free car parks are at your disposal in order to discover the place in complete serenity. As soon as you arrive, you will observe an atypical bridge suspended over one of the arms of the Rhône: the Pont des Arméniers (which is no longer accessible today), a witness to the history of this island.
