Located in the ancient center of Pernes-les-Fontaines since 2013 on the occasion of National Resistance Day, the place pays tribute to the resistance fighters of the territory through the various striking moments of this period.
Thus, historical documents and objects will guide the visit of the museum which recount the German occupation in Vaucluse, the creation by Gabriel Moutte of the local secret army resistance group by Gabriel Moutte, as well as that of the Maquis F.T.P.F. Jean Robert by Danton Millet, the massacre of 5 young resistance fighters caused by the Nazis on August 2, 1944 in Barbarenque, near Beaucet and finally the liberation of the region.
The association of former resistance fighters and friends of the resistance of the canton of Pernes and its surroundings invites you to come and discover the place and learn more about this period of our history as well as the civic and solidarity values carried by the Resistance in Pernes-les-Fontaines.
Here are the 2024 opening hours of the museum:
-From March 30 to April 28 on Saturdays and Sundays from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
-From April 29 to May 31 every day except Tuesday from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
-From June 1 to June 28 every day except Tuesday from 15:30 to 19:00
-From June 29 to September 29 every day except Tuesday from 10:15 to 12:30 and from 15:30 to 19:00
