A walk and an orienteering in the middle of the forest

The Puy Bricon trail is a 6km route perfect for hikers but also for adventurers! As soon as you enter the heart of the pine forest, a playground is available to you, you will find a total of fifteen beacons hidden in this environment, thus transforming a stroll into a real orienteering.

A trail for the most seasoned

It's up to you to set your rhythm! For the fastest or the most sporty, the trail will take between forty minutes and 1 hour and it will take between 1h30 and 2h30 for a quieter hike to enjoy the nature and tranquility of this place.

For our part, we are quite calm, 2 hours of walking was enough for us!

Discovering our ecosystem

Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to discover the fauna and flora of Provence and Ventoux. In the middle of the pine forest, appreciated during the hot weather, you will encounter many flowers and plants such as thyme, broom or even wild orchids in season. Typical Shrubs and trees of our region are scattered throughout your walk such as strawberry tree, pines or olive trees!

As you walk, by climbing the hills of Puy Bricon, a magnificent view of Mont Ventoux will open up to you, adding even more charm to this place, a Mediterranean garrigue that awakens our senses with all these scents.

Did you know: The olive trees planted by the Municipality of Pernes-les-Fontaines are harvested every year and thus produce olive oil for our school canteens!
