1. La Via Venaissia

Built on the old railway line connecting Orange to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, La Via Venaissia is now a greenway accessible to bicycles and pedestrians and which connects Orange to Velleron via Pernes-les-Fontaines and Carpentras, so more than 40km!

On the course, you will be able to enjoy magnificent landscapes and viewpoints and observe the nature and countryside of Provence. Numerous olive trees and cypresses line the path, offering some shaded passages on this route. A wine region known for the AOC Ventoux, you will also walk along numerous vineyards and orchards during your walk.

During your stroll, treat yourself to a gourmet break in former train stations in Pernes-les-Fontaines and Loriol-du-Comtat, rehabilitated into restaurants such as the Bistrot de la Gare a few steps from the historic center.

Take the time to visit Pernes-les-Fontaines, city of 41 fountains with numerous historical monuments such as the Clock Tower, the Ferrande Tower and the Notre Dame Gate.

Our expert advice: During the month of July, take the Pernes-les-Fontaines/Velleron section to admire sublime lavender fields!
