Craving Freshness
Summer is here, bodies of water and fresh spaces are rare in Vaucluse but, good news, Porte du Ventoux Tourisme shares with you the good freshness tips for the destination!
LAKE MONTEUX
Ideal place to enjoy a fresh break at the edge of the water and fill up on memories with family or friends, unsurprisingly, it is our refuge as soon as temperatures exceed 30° C!
A few kilometers from the city center, the place welcomes both the youngest and the oldest in a summer atmosphere as we like them: sun, water and ice cream!
A private beach is equipped there in order to be able to enjoy the sun or the shade with a book in hand, under an umbrella, but, above all, water for swimming (excellent water quality according to the ARS). As for other activities, there are many things you can do to enjoy an unforgettable experience by renting pedal boats, kayaks or paddleboards to navigate on the lake. For the youngest, an inflatable play park is also installed in summer on a part of the lake!
Looking for a meal break or a gourmet moment? The Snack de la Dune will delight the hungriest with an enticing menu and sweet delights at any time of the afternoon, perfect for enjoying a delicious ice cream on your deckchair.
Between moments of freshness, moments of sharing and aquatic activities, you will find everything you are looking for in summer at Lac de Monteux.
Did you know: An Intrigue au Lac® treasure hunt is available at the Tourist Office to conduct an investigation in search of the culprit who threatens to pollute the lake's water (from 6 years old)

WAVE ISLAND
The Wave Island water park, which has been a sensation for six years now, has reopened its doors in recent weeks for lovers of freshness and sensation.
Rich in 32 attractions, the park will delight young and old alike, between “Kids Island”, “La Tortuga” or even “The Giant”, a slide that makes you dizzy with a descent of more than 33m in height! If you are looking for peace and relaxation, get on your buoy and let yourself be guided by the current on “The Tropical River” or dive and swim freely while enjoying “The Bay of Mermaids”
In addition to restaurants, ice cream parlors and smoothie bars, you will be amazed by the 2 artificial waves known worldwide “MY SURF® CITY WAVE” and “DA WAVE”, the unmissable event for surfers! For the most curious and adventurous, introduction and demonstration courses are offered throughout the summer to get the most out of them!

SPIROU PARK
Enter the world of Spirou and his friends with an amusement park dedicated to comic books by Dupuis. Between fun and thrills, you will also find something to cool off with several water attractions such as the famous Lucky River, for which you board a log with Lucky Luke and hurtle down two splashing waterfalls, few of them come out dry! There is also Splash Piranha, a battlefield where you can water the participants from your giant flower but be careful, they too can reach you so be careful!
You will also find misters in several places in the park for a refreshing moment as well as many restaurants.
New in 2022: Aqua Slime Project will soon open its doors with a large aquatic area dotted with water jets.

FRESH WALKS
Who said that walks in Provence were impossible in summer? In Pernes-les-Fontaines, a pleasant walk along the Carpentras Canal will allow you to discover the fauna and flora of the region while enjoying the shade and freshness provided by the canal. For those who want to discover cultural heritage instead, the tourist circuit in the old town is just as refreshing as it is interesting, each of the 41 fountains is a source of freshness at your fingertips!
Like the Carpentras Canal, the freshness of the banks of the Ouvèze, Rhône or Sorgues also allows you to take advantage of the few kilometers of walking to recharge your batteries with magnificent landscapes around Bédarrides and Sorgues!
