The tourist office of Pernes-les-Fontaines and Monteux, certified 'Tourism and Disability'
The 'Tourism and Disability' brand was obtained by the Pernes-les-Fontaines tourist office (in November 2022), as well as the Monteux tourist office (in April 2023). It is obtained for a period of 5 years, for the 4 families of disabilities: Behavioural, Sensory impaired disorders, Physical and Developmental.


What is the 'Tourism and Disability' brand?
“Tourism and Disability” is the only State mark assigned to tourism professionals who are committed to do a quality approach focused on accessibility to leisure and holidays for all. The brand makes it possible to provide disabled people with reliable, homogeneous and objective information on the accessibility of tourist sites and facilities, for the four main types of disabilities. 7) "Heatwave and Us": Brochure for Deaf People
This leaflet is designed for deaf people who communicate in sign language and for whom reading may be difficult. It provides basic advice, adapted for each age group (children, adults, seniors), as well as useful phone numbers and websites to help avoid the risks associated with heatwaves. Health can indeed be at risk when three conditions occur together: extreme heat, night temperatures that remain high or barely decrease, and this lasting for several consecutive days. The document explains the effects of a heatwave on the body and how to protect yourself from them.
