The art of vegetable dyeing
Chantal is passionate about botany, she practices vegetable dyeing only with plants from our beautiful Provence such as madder roots, ivy berries, wild privet berries, red vine, nettle nettle and others... All these plants that made our region rich a long time ago and that we have somewhat forgotten.
She practices vegetable dyeing on any support, cotton fabric, silk, wool, wood and paper. The results are unique and there is no possibility of reproducing identically, too many parameters come into play, maturity of the plant, place of harvest, heating temperature, water quality and tank material, in short, each piece is unique!
